This is our story.

My background

I am a first-generation college student from Darlington, South Carolina. Growing up, college was always the goal, and my parents never presented not going to college as an option. At NC State, home of the Wolfpack, I earned a bachelor’s in Biological Sciences and a master’s in Higher Education Administration. Following my journey at NC State, I went on to earn my Ph.D. in Educational Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Professionally, I serve as the Director of Residential Education at the University of Denver and CEO of Authentically You Life Coaching, a new venture I started to help others discover their authentic selves and pursue their most sincere dreams.

I believe in showing up for others because it embodies the core of human connection and mutual support. When we are present for the people around us—whether in times of joy, challenge, or uncertainty—we demonstrate that they are valued and not alone in their journey. This commitment fosters trust, strengthens relationships, and creates a sense of community where everyone feels seen and supported. By showing up, we contribute to a culture of care and empathy, ensuring that in a world often marked by individualism, we remain connected through our shared humanity.

My approach to life coaching

To me, life coaching is having meaningful conversations with others that help inspire them to chase the life they dream of. Everyone’s journey is unique. Sometimes it takes someone who cares to help others discover who they are, what they want, and pathways to get there. Dreams are truly meant to be fulfilled.
